Right from the start, we were confident
We knew that our innovative Sodium-ion battery technology would revolutionize how the world consumes and stores electricity and address India’s most pressing social and environmental challenges. By utilizing agricultural and biowaste to derive the world’s highest-performing Hard Carbon (BioBlack™)
we are actively boosting India’s rural and agricultural economies, promoting sustainable consumption and production techniques, and contributing to India’s climate action goals. We have gained trust and credibility from our stakeholders because of our commitment to making a positive socioeconomic impact.
At Indi Energy, we are closely aligned with several of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
SDG 7: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all
Our Sodium-ion battery technology provides the world with a more affordable and clean energy source compared to traditional fossil fuels and contemporary battery technologies such as Lead-acid batteries, Lithium-ion batteries, etc. Adoption of our Sodium-ion battery technology will give universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy services.
SDG 8: Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all
By creating a market for agricultural waste and biowaste, we provide a new source of income for Indian farmers. Additionally, with the establishment and commencement of our production plants, we have created new job opportunities for communities and society at large. Our sustainable Sodium-ion battery technology promotes environmentally sustainable and socially responsible economic development.
SDG 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation
Our innovative Sodium-ion battery technology is helping build resilient infrastructure by providing a reliable and cost-effective energy storage solution that can play a crucial role during emergencies and withstand natural disasters. Furthermore, we are driving their transition to sustainable industrialization by helping industries reduce their carbon footprint and become more energy-efficient.
SDG 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
Our rechargeable and highly recyclable Sodium-ion batteries are a low-cost and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries, reducing reliance on scarce materials and eliminating hazardous environmental impacts. Furthermore, we are supporting India’s transition towards a circular economy by utilizing agricultural waste to create BioBlack™, the Hard carbon for our batteries.
SDG 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impact
Our sodium-ion battery technology will lead the fight against climate change by accelerating the world’s transition to a low-carbon economy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions while simultaneously promoting renewable energy sources such as solar and wind, eliminating dependency on fossil fuels, lithium-ion, and lead-acid batteries. Indi Energy’s Sodium-ion batteries will enable a more significant deployment of clean energy without worrying about end-of-life disposal.
We aim to deliver value to society and the environment. As such, our efforts are focused on creating sustainable solutions that benefit all. This is why our batteries serve as “The Ideal Solution” to meet the needs of both commercial and individual users looking to make an impactful contribution to the global cause: A sustainable future for us all.
